What Is Due Diligence?

		This is a new term to some investors and a very common jargon phrase to others. The process of executing proper due diligence when buying investment property is one that many real estate investors neglect to execute properly.  The due diligence process is something that D&S takes very seriously when considering a property for its owners to purchase. When purchasing real estate, it is always wise to seek a  “thumbs up” from your property management team... before closing the deal.
	Very few property management companies get involved in the due diligence process (which we have never understood). A wise management firm investigates their properties before agreeing to manage them. Why would you do it any other way?  D&S works together with you “the buyer” in investigating all the different areas of your potential investment. The intensive steps that are including in doing a proper investment due diligence are listed in this checklist.
